The business is at the forefront of the repositioning and re-purposing of retail property and finding the long-term sustainable answers for it. Originally founded over 20 years ago the company recently evolved following the merger of Rivington Land and Hark Group in April 2019.

We already have an enviable and diverse portfolio of projects with a combined value in excess of £600million with more under consideration and an ambition to grow this to £1bn.  At present we are managing major city centre transformation projects that are onsite and that represent over £200million of public investment.  Included within this is the new iconic live entertainment venue in Swansea and re-planning the core of Newcastle City Centre. In addition, we managing an asset portfolio with annual rental income exceeding £16million.

Job Role

We are seeking a mixed-use Development Manager, with ideally residential or office experience to join our growing team. This role will be based in London and working on projects across the UK.

Reporting to the Executive Directors, you will be responsible for developments from origination, concept, through to delivery and sale. You will be responsible for the progress of developments through the technical, legal, planning, financial and sales stages.


    • Report to, and work closely with, David Lewis on projects across the portfolio.
    • Appointment and management of professional team.
    • Responsible for producing and implementing development strategy.
    • Management of project financial performance and programme.
    • Advising upon strategy and giving reasoned recommendations for all decisions to investment partners and clients
    • Reporting on project performance and progress
    • Developing strong working relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Candidate’s Skillset/Qualities:

    • Development Management experience with a good understanding of the process
    • Background in delivering mixed use scheme with either residential and/or commercial uses.
    • Confidently able to manage professional team of external consultants.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Comfortable with legal documents and managing legal negotiations
    • Creativity and imagination
    • Comfortable reporting to and advising investment partners and clients
    • Good technical expertise in traditional development appraisal and cashflow
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Good attention to detail.
    • A strong work ethic.
    • Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.
    • A proactive approach.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team framework.
    • Self-motivated, committed and organised.
    • Outgoing personality with a sense of humour.
    • Full UK Driving Licence
