Over the weekend the installation of a landmark new bridge, which connects Swansea city centre to its marina and beach, was completed.
Described on ITV as “a vision for post-pandemic future”, the transformational Copr Bay scheme in Swansea reached a new milestone recently, with the installation of a statement bridge that will connect the city centre to its new live performance arena, Marina and its world-famous coastline.
The crossing serves as a striking visual representation of the work Swansea Council is carrying out to create an urban destination that brings together the best of city living and access to nature.
This latest achievement is an iconic moment in the £1 billion public sector-led regeneration of Swansea, which predates Covid and is a model for how cities can build back better post-pandemic.
Congratulations to Swansea Council and our on-site partners Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd for getting to this stage. At RivingtonHark, we’re immensely proud to be Development Managers on such a momentous scheme.
