Baron's Quay, Northwich

Given the seismic shift in high street retail, RivingtonHark delivered a leasing strategy which brought a range of uses into the town centre. A placemaking, marketing and events plan was also developed to support local independent businesses as well as existing retail, leisure and restaurant operators in order to drive vibrancy and footfall in the town centre.

Barons Quay is 240,000 sq ft and opened in 2016 in an exceptionally challenging retail climate with over 50% of floor space vacant.

15 lettings were completed including: H&M, Sports Direct, River Island and The Entertainer. In addition, the leasing strategy was adapted to the changing retail landscape and a variety of leisure and food uses were introduced.

Major UK leisure attraction, Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, opened the first of their new concepts, Sticky Paws, a unique family food and play offer.

Puddle Ducks will bring their baby swim concept to the town centre and Barons Quay Social, Bear Coffee, Geek Retreat and Coffee House all bring a food and beverage offer with a difference.
