RivingtonHark have led a wide group of Public and Private stakeholders including Newcastle City Council, NE1, the Universities, NHS, Intu and Fenwick on a structural review and city wide masterplan that sets out:

  • Physical Improvements
  • Management
  • Funding

Newcastle is a successful city centre, held in multiple ownership but is not immune to changes in the retail environment. The connectivity and quality of the streets linking City Office, Universities, NHS and the cultural heart to the core & retail is poor.

The objective is to bring about physical change to the core area that improves access, physical environment, connectivity, well being, linkages and relevance to all stakeholders.

The aim is to plan, run and fund an ongoing management of multi-owned area including events management.
