Chester Northgate

The vision is to deliver a phased, mixed use and comprehensive redevelopment of this run-down portion of the city to support the long-term sustainability and vitality of Chester.

OBJECTIVE:

To redevelop a failing shopping centre and brown field unattractive site in the heart of Chester. To realise a mixed-use development following numerous failed attempts by the private sector and provide a catalyst for further development phases.

ACHIEVEMENT:

RivingtonHark has led from inception to completion the development and successful delivery of the first phase of Chester Northgate representing a public sector capital investment of £75million.

The development has delivered a new much acclaimed Market, 6 screen cinema, new and refurbished office accommodation, 7 new F&B units and a new 800 space MSCP.

This first phase represents about a third of the wider scheme for which planning consent was secured that includes a wider mix of uses including residential, further offices, retail and leisure uses.
