A major hybrid planning consent was secured in late 2016 and following a public inquiry CPO, RCO and Market powers were granted by the Secretary of State in 2018.
Phase 1 is significantly pre-let, anchored by Picturehouse cinema and a new market hall, and construction is due to start on site in late 2019.
